About Me

Hi there!

I'm Erin... the woman behind this little blog and floral design business.  I run a small, boutique studio in the Kansas City suburb of Lenexa, KS. If you're interested in knowing a little more about me and how I got here, read on!

Flowers have been a significant part of my life for as long as I can remember.  I grew up in a tiny house in the Kansas countryside with a mom and dad who were diggers, planters, gardeners, and just generally happy to be outside in the dirt.  I also inherited my love of vintage goodies from my parents, and my mom (a teacher) unknowingly taught me a love for creativity and design...  much of my childhood was spent crafting and creating as she was always working on projects with my brother and I.

During my time at KU as I worked on my English Literature degree, I took a part-time job at a local college flower shop and loved the work I was doing.  After graduating, I headed to the city and worked at an upscale floral shop to hone my skills. It was during this time that I met many of Kansas City's most talented photo stylists when they would stop in for blooms, props, or ribbon, and this led me to begin taking on part-time styling projects for the Hallmark Cards photography studio.
Over the past 10+ years, I have continued to work occasionally as a stylist for Hallmark, and my wedding business has grown exponentially through word of mouth and referrals from fantastic clients!  I have so much fun with my brides... I believe that if we work together to bring out the best in each other, we can genuinely bring your vision to life, whatever it may be.  I try to limit the amount of weddings that I take on every year, as this allows me to spend more individual time with clients and still be the best mom that I can be to my kids.  I'm happy to take on photo styling projects, party and event design projects, and most certainly the floral design work for your wedding!

Please take your time, look around my blog and don't hesitate to ask questions!  I love comments and would love to hear from you!
