Sunset-inspired wedding flowers at Powell Gardens

Monday, July 23, 2012

This was a beautiful, vintage-garden inspired event held at Powell Gardens. My friend Valerie married her handsome Angel here, and we provided the flowers and attended the wedding as well!

Her colors were inspired by the sunset... corals, peaches, pinks, creams. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous dresses from Ann Taylor in "Lush Sangria" which is such a gorgeous backdrop, and a romantic tie-in to Val's lace gown. I'll let these gorgeous images from The Carters do most of the talking!

The bouquets featured coral charm peonies, ranunculus, lacey hydrangea, garden roses, sahara roses, astilbe, stock, and more. So lush and lovely.

Coral charm peony bracelet corsages! So beautiful.

The reception was held in The Grand Hall at the gardens... and this is a story in and of itself. (I'll share more of my thoughts on this place later in this post). For now, please enjoy some more images of the gorgeous centerpieces! We wrapped my tall square vases in wide lace, and then Val found vintage vanity trays for the low tables. A grouping of lush cylinders (wrapped in more lace) were filled out with glowing votives. The feel was warm and so romantic!

The romantic cake graced with peonies and garden roses!

Hand-made burlap bags of coffee for guests to enjoy at the end of the night, perfect! This wedding was not only a total stunner, but a joy to attend as well!
