A Winter Wedding...

Below are some pictures from Susan's awesome winter wedding, with a reception at The Uptown Theater in KC, MO... great windows in that place, I think that every time we go there! Enough chatter, check out the pics!

Above is Susan's beautiful bouquet... while she didn't originally ask for any pink, she had REALLY loved the idea of peonies for her bouquet... so when I found these blush pink ones on the market in DECEMBER, I just couldn't resist! Of course, I called and asked her permission first... I would never stray from a color scheme like that without asking the bride her opinion!

The girls' charming bouquets, above! A really pretty mix of purples, lavenders, soft blues, with accents of the green hypericum berries. Silver satin ribbon handle for a fun way to pull in their secondary color!

Above is the groom's bout... a white cymbidium orchid bloom, accented with green hypericum berry and tied with silver satin to accent his suit and the bride's bouquet!!!

A groomsman's bout, above. Lavender rose and green hypericum with a satin ribbon wrap.

And then their lovely centerpieces... they rented my square vases, which we tied with a silver satin ribbon, knotted for a charming effect. These featured huge soft blue hydrangeas, blue agapanthus (also called african lily in old garden language!) and soft silvery-blue seeded eucalyptus foliage. Below are cylinder vases that I wrapped in various silver patterned vellum papers from Paper Source... to give a really gorgeous hurricane effect. I also tied these with silver satin, and we filled them with water and a floating candle for a really romantic glow! More of the blue and lavender in the petals that I grouped all around them for extra romance!

This was a lovely winter wedding... and such a great couple! Susan was so flexible with me... she really just wanted her flowers to be beautiful, and I think they definitely turned out that way!
